1998 Suzuki reviews

I have owned a black Katana for almost 2 years now. It has been a wonderful, reliable, fun and fast sport-tourer. If you can get a low mileage '98 I would recommend it. This bike looks best in black, not psyco-blue or moopy maroon. Also the 2000 uses a sticker as the name plate for the Katana emblem, not a chromed piece. Looks way tacky. This is my first bike, the virgin bike. I talked to a lot of people beforehand about what to look for, what bike to get and what price I should stay at. After coming down to a 94 HondaF2 and the 98 Katana, I went with the Katana for a couple of reasons. First it looks different than most bikes and I like that, the solid colors stand out more than the multipattern streets you see everyday. Second, it is a mix of a street and some touring, it is very comfortable and very fast (with the right experience). It is also comfortable for second passengers too. Easy to handle and shoots like a rocket. I recommend this bike to anyone for a first or second bike or someone who just wants speed with comfort. Show less
