This is my third bike, and I've owned it for about four years. My first bike was a late 1970s UJM. My second was a large cruiser. I've also ridden every bike in the Truimph model line. If you need a bike that's good for almost any kind of riding, with styling that ages very well, and is rock-solid reliable, it's hard to beat the VFR800FI. Aside from being mechanically reliable, the quality of materials, finishes, and construction are incredible. Everything on the bike is highly resistant to aging, fading, fatiguing, cracking, or scratching. If you give it a bare minimum of care, it will keep looking and riding like new for decades. Plus, the precision, comfort, and refinement that it exhibits when you ride it are very gratifying. Without a doubt, some bikes are better for specific types of riding, such as pure sports riding and track days, or ultra-long-distance touring. But if you can own only one all-around bike and you need it to handle touring, commuting, as well as some sporty riding, I think the VFR is the best bike out there. With just a few of the right accessories, it will easily adapt to whatever riding style you throw at it.

I found a perfect 98 tourer with (believe this), only 3680 miles in May 2006, to replace my 750 cc ACE deluxe. This bike is much more stable above 55 mph and being a light person, the 750 cc bike was a little squirmy at speed. I have put on about 1500 miles this summer (bad knee kept me from riding a lot), and they have been super enjoyable. Honda quality goes without saying. I do like the compliments I get at stop lights, parking lots etc. People really can't categorize this bike and ask all sorts of questions about it. I figure there are only a handful of these bikes in the Denver area. I have only seen two other ones in town in the two years I have been searching for one. I smile every time I see my bike in the garage.

This bike is great! It has a great sound with the stock pipes and if one likes something with a really big sound, put some Vans and Hines shotgun pipes on it. You are sure to get the classic complement, "Nice Hog" in which I always respond, " It's a HONDA". Very comfortable bike and will handle 2... read more

Sounds, looks and feels like a Harley with the reliability of a Honda! Great job Honda!!!
