This bike was bought from the original owner who purchased it new in 1996. He called it his Baby. I've had it for about 2 months and I love it. It is still very clean and the chrome and paint looks perfect. He did change the tires and went to a larger rear which helps lower cruising rpm. It has...

It is still very clean and the chrome and paint looks perfect. He did change the tires and went to a larger rear which helps lower cruising rpm. It has been very reliable for him and I anticipate the same. It starts right up and runs beautifully. Nice torque kick when you roll on the throttle at about 20 mph in second. I will be getting a new seat though.

I have been riding for 14yrs. The RF600R was my first bike street bike which I still have and ride all the time. Like any bike it can use a little more power but it handles well and is great for long rides plus they are not that common any more. Overall I would say buy it if the miles are...

I just sold my 96 800 Intruder to a friend. I had it for 3 years & really enjoyed it. I rode it on last years Trail of Tears ride-230+ miles. It was just too small for somone my size who likes to take long trips-6' 4". My friend is about-5' 6", so it suits him...

I have owned my gixer since it was new in 96,I have not had one problem, thank god. I still own it and ride with the most modern bikes to date, they can't go anywhere from this machine. I have just turned 14 thou on it and it still kicks butt, wheelies easy in first and second, just power...

I just bought my first street bike a few weeks ago (RF 600). This bike has all the power and speed you can ask for, has exceptionally good looks and a good size gas tank. Only complaints I have so far is in the comfort category. The stock seat could be a bit more comfortable and the forward riding position can lead to sore wrists. Also the heat from the engine gets displaced by the fairing right onto your legs while riding. All in all, this is a great bike and a lot of fun to ride.

This bike is a magnet for complements. I haven't met anybody who didn't love the style. And just like with some of the other reviews it has a squeaky front brake, and takes way to long to warm up but there are fixes to cure that. Oh and one other thing, you find yourself wiping it down all the...

The RF900R is an incredible machine that will challenge any rider, regardless if it is modified or in stock trim. I have added the basics for engine mods (yoshimura exhaust header and pipe, jet kit, K&N air filter) as well as creature comforts (corbin seat and heli bars). What I came up with was a...

The RF900R is an incredible machine that will challenge any rider, regardless if it is modified or in stock trim. I have added the basics for engine mods (yoshimura exhaust header and pipe, jet kit, K&N air filter) as well as creature comforts (corbin seat and heli bars). What I came up with was a very fast and very comfortable ride that you can take the twisties with or ride all day at your leisure. I am also happy to say that I have logged 15,000 miles on my bike and have only had to perform general maintenance. I am not 100% happy of course because of the high-foot pegs that lead to cramped leg muscles on really long trips, and because the bike could use fuel injection if you ride at different elevations such as I do(loss of some power in mountains because of thin air). Even though this is the case, if you are looking to buy any model year of this bike, you can not go wrong.
