One down fall, I am 19, 5'11" tall and about 160 lbs, that being said the bike is very uncomfortable until you get used to it. Tank could be narrower. Other than that, mine is 100% stock and still has power to keep up with my buddies 02 954RR and smoke my other buddies 06 GSXR600. Are you a wheelie guy? If so, this bike has plenty of wheelie power! Good bike to throw around the corners once you're used to it.

If you plan on cranking the throttle fully open in either 1st or 2nd, be prepared to experience a VERY light front end. This bike has crazy power, not for a novice rider. This is my 3rd Honda. I traded in a beautiful '90 CBR1000f to get this bike. I have to say that this bike was never intended...

I traded in a beautiful '90 CBR1000f to get this bike. I have to say that this bike was never intended to be putted down the freeway for hours at a time. It's designed as a canyon-carving, race-winning superbike. If you want a ride a comfortable "barcalounger" type bike, look elsewhere. This bike is at its best when you're riding on the edge, sliding back and forth in the seat and doing roll-on 2nd gear wheelies!

After looking at so many bikes this bike kept standing out at me. I did all my home work on the competition, but found that the F2 was the right bike for me. My bike came with a very cool sounding D+D pipe. The pipe has a deep idel, but when you get on the throtle it's loud. This was my fist bike, and I had no problem learning how to ride. The bike was very forgiving, and I picked it up very quick. My girlfriend rides on the back and there is no problems(just under 350lbs). I keep up with the rest of my buddies, and they have no one on the back of their bikes. There was one down fall from the bike, and I am sure you will get this from any bike you ride. My wrist would fall asleep after an hour or so of riding. I didn't like the seat position on the bike either. I always thought I was sliding into the tank. But over all this was a great bike. I just sold it, which was a shame, but I am upgrading to a new f4i. There is just something about the honda bikes that make you want to hop on and ride all day....

jUST brought about three weeks ago. Pretty good condition. I have never seen a WHITE one before and it look in my opinion the best color. I don't see any on the road so my WHITE one is unique. No one believes it is a 93. Only 8100 miles. I was hooked with the first ride. I love the exhaust note. Nothing like the V-4 sound. This bike handles very well for its weight. I am very surprised by the amount of wind protection. With my other bike (85 SABRE 700), I always wore a jacket. I can cruise all day at 80mph with no problem. No buzz or wind to tire you out. Very powerful also. The only modifacations I will make is a slip on muffler,K&N air filter, jetted carbs. No need to make it any faster than that. She tries to make me do 100mph every time out. I will keep you all posted. ENJOY THE RIDE!

This is a very good bike. I purchased it from a friend for $3200 in 2000 with 13K miles. It runs flawless. Its comfortable, handles my wife and I (total weight 350+) for 2 up riding, keeps up well with my friends R1, 929, and Z9. I have the smallest bike, but that CBR 600 always arrives with them....

Its user friendly and allows you room for error. You can learn all your riding skills on this bike before getting a larger one but I'm 31, love the bike and probably won't get another. the F2 will do 145 mph, cause I've done it. So what more do you need for the street. Newer sportbikes are not nearly as comfortable. Its just a great all around bike with vey low maintenance.

Typical Honda reliability and quality (awesome). Crazy powerband from 6000 on up to 11000 redline. Yikes! Next thing you know, you're traveling faster than the space shuttle. D&D carbon/SS pipes, jet kit and K&N's really add to the performance of this already crazy-fast rice...

I purchased my XR-650L new in the fall of 93. I have been riding off road motorcycles since I was eight years old. I was disappointed when Honda discontinued the XL series of dual purpose motorcycles. When the new XR dual sports came out I had to test drive one. I was immediatly impressed with the suspension and handling but I wanted the bike to be more off road oriented, so the following modifications were made to the bike. Tires- Installed Pirrelli MT21 DOT approved knobby tires. These are excellent for off road use in mud, sand or clay. Increased the driven sprocket size to a 48 tooth while going smaller on the countershaft sprocket, a 13 tooth. Installed a K&N filter, a supertrapp muffler, Increased the main jet size in the carburator to a #56 and the slow jet to a #55. Installed a Clarke five gallon fuel tank for long trail rides. With this combination I can go any where my off road riding buddies can go. Just wish the bike was just a tad shorter since I'm only 5ft 10 inch tall and weigh 165 lbs. Maybe Honda will build a aluminum framed model in the future.

It has been modified slightly with different valving up front and aftermarket shock in the rear and Hindle full exhaust, other than that its stock. It delivers power at a turn and will pull fantastic power wheelies (just don't mention that to the insurance people).
