Approaching 40,000 miles on my CB-1. High points are: Reliability, it has never broke down. 45 MPG is normal, but the 3 gallon tank still limits range too much. Low consumption (oil, gas, tires)...in other words... cheap to own. It's lso cheap to insure. Light wet weight. It has quick acceleration. Seventeen-inch wheels allow large tire selection. The handling is good (after the feeler touches down, you can still let the foot peg fold and lean more...hehehehe, with the radial tires). Also, changing lines in mid-corner is no problem. Great front disc brake. Upright riding position is OK, but hard to move around once butt burn sets in. Low points are: Handle bar buzz puts fingers to sleep. Three Gallon Gas tank is too small. The front fork springs suck, so I replaced with progressive springs (much better). Rear shock lacks much in adjustability. Windblast (no windshield) is tiring on long rides. Weird side stand has caused dropping this bike at least 10 times. Wish it had a center stand (20/20 hindsight). Overall, I rate this bike a 4. It has been and is a great, reliable mount. It makes me smile every day as I put my helmet on and ride to work (all year long) in Bakersfield, CA. This bike has been a great bike as my first street bike. Thanks Honda.
