This was my dream bike as a kid, and after years of riding new sport bikes, I finally bought one. Much more comfortable riding position compared to the more aggressive style of the newer bikes. Plenty of power and the reliability is great. They are getting much harder to find in nice condition these days. I was lucky to find a near mint 1987 pearl white/red model locally.

I bought this bike from my nephew after it was given to him by his father, the original owner. In the couple of years that I've owned it, I can truly say that it has lived up to its original hype! I've done so many things on this ole-timer that seriously have kept me from longing for the newer bikes. I've hit 175 (limited only by my own fear)on this thing, and the maneuverability is off the chain. When I'm on it, I truly feel at one with it. I'm currently looking to reunite with another `87-`90.

I bought this bike to see if I'd like the bigger style of a touring bike. My other is a 1987 Super Magna that I love the looks of, but cannot pack for weekend trips on. The Gold Wing has plenty of room to pack, but I needed to put on highway pegs as my legs are in a position that I cannot ride for many miles before cramping. The bike has been very reliable, and has the power to pull that big of a bike. Great lean angles for its size. Easy to work on as well - get a manual and you should be able to do about everything yourself. Great bike!

I always thought I would never be able to keep up with the men in my family on their trail motorcycles, because of their larger size, they ride larger, faster bikes with more power. I am a small, young woman who has been riding motorcycles nearly all of my life, and couldn't find a bike to suit my smaller size with as much performance on the difficult Arizona desert trails. Then I found this motorcycle. Absolutely perfect. Smaller, lighter, low-end torque, if my TLR200 can't climb it, neither can there's. There are only a few drawbacks to this bike. On the rare occasion that I want to go above 45mph, this bike vibrates a lot and gets rather shaky because it is so lightweight (and so am I). Although the lightweight and torque allows me to jump almost anything. Working on the carb is a pain, it is much harder to get off than most bikes, and if you aren't careful you'll bend in your aluminum float (like I did). The stiff shocks and small seat can get uncomfortable after a couple hours also, and I usually end each day riding with sore legs (from standing up on it) and a couple bruises on my backside (from sitting down on it). But the experience of this bike is well worth it. I would love to see more bikes like this on the market, but until then, I'll never own another motorcycle (for my personal use), only my Honda TLR200 will do.

Well this is my first sportbike ever, which I'm fairly pleased with! When I look at all the rest of the bikes back in the 'hurricanes' time, it was the one that had the most aerodynamic looks. Power is decent on this bike, but if you ever compare it to something newer you'll obviously feel a difference, which is normal anyway. I've had a difficult time finding specs on this bike and general information. What I've read from the Honda Web site and a few others is that the 600 Hurricane was the first 600cc sport bike to cover the 1/4 mile under 11 seconds. As I read that article, the way it was written made it seem it was implying about the actual 1987 CBR 600 Hurricane? I believe the exact quote was "The Hurricane engine redlined at 12,000rpm and cranked out 85 horsepower at 11,000 rpm, enough power to make the Hurricane the first 600cc sportbike to cover a quarter mile in under 11 seconds." If anyone has any information about the 87 Hurricane, please email me especially regarding that brief paragraph about the bike. I would like to know exactly why it was written in a way of referring to the 1987 600cc Hurricane, thanks.
