Has good bottom end power also if you like to run around at low rpm. I've owned about 30 bikes. Sporster, Harley Knucklehead, Flathead, Panhead, Indians, Triumphs and multiple rice burners and this is the best of em all.

I purchased a used vf750f Interceptor after spending a few years "Bike Free". I wanted a bike with a bit more performance than what I had in the past, but was on a really small budget. Well, this bike proved to fit the bill! I purchased one for $1000 Canadian dollars, and have had a really good experience both riding and repairing this model. Parts are easy to come by, if somewhat expensive, and the bike is easy to work on. This bike is billed as the first production superbike, and it's legacy lives on in every sport bike since it's time. The Interceptor is very fast, handles very well, but is able to take you on a long tour, if that's what you do! I would recommend this bike to anyone who wants to try a sportbike for the first time, but does not want to commit 10 - 15 g's. It also comes in 500 and 1000 cc models.

There is a kit to fix this. And this bike has a cult following that can be found on the web. This is what woke me up to these machines. Besides, some babe showed me how quick she could get away from my dog 850 Yamaha on a V45. This is a bike for the tickerer and mechanically inclined.

I've ridden every day for the last three year; it is my primary transportation. It handles well in rain, sun, heat and cold. Given not much more than rudimentary maintenance, this thing has taken everything I could throw at it. Gets up and goes from any gear, corners pretty good and takes my 240 lbs. around effortlessly. Riding this has been an absolute pleasure. I am sold FOREVER on big bikes. Doesn't vibrate much, like other bikes I've ridden.
